A Weekend of Radical Love, Jewish Tradition, Music & Mountain Magic in Aspen

A + J
A & J’s Aspen wedding weekend was an epic three-day celebration that beautifully blended sacred Jewish tradition and elevated mountain revelry—all set against the soaring peaks and pristine landscapes of Colorado’s Rockies.
The festivities began Friday evening with a “Shabbat BBQ” welcome party at The Little Nell’s iconic Ajax Tavern. In a heartfelt moment, the bride and her mother invited all of the women present to light the Shabbat candles at a 24-foot floral display by Sarah Winward, reciting prayers and sharing challah, before guests enjoyed live music, custom cornhole, and a playful “Base Camp” swag station to build their own unique welcome bags.
Saturday opened with a guided hike through the couple's favorite Aspen trails and culminated in a highly choreographed rehearsal dinner at the historic Hotel Jerome. The night was filled with skits, musical surprises, heartfelt toasts, and even some dancing on tables.
On Sunday, A & J wed at the bride’s family home, overlooking the North Star Nature Preserve and the very mountain where they first hiked together on a "first" date in the middle of COVID. 12,000-square-feet of tenting and decking transformed both the open space and the client's backyard. Cocktail hour featured multi-level tented lounges, a wood-fired pizza bar, abundant seasonal produce, and 75' of custom bar service by House of Wilde. Inside, whimsical wildflower arrangements by Sarah Winward, patterned linens, and Robert Gordon porcelain set the stage for a night of dining and nonstop dancing to West Coast Music’s Midnight Special.
The celebration carried on at Aspen’s beloved Belly Up, where DJ Chris Clouse kept the party rocking into the early morning. Custom wedding merch by Sweet Zion Paperie and playful lipstick notes on the mirrors made for the perfect, unforgettable weekend finale.
